Headquartered in Wilmington, NC, Watertown serves as a highly-personalized advisor to companies seeking an exit. We help mature, medium-sized enterprises that produce stable cash-flows and enjoy material, competitive advantages. We are not business brokers, but rather occupy the niche above business brokers and below regional investment banks. We are M&A advisors, pure and simple.
Founded in 2020, Watertown is led by Barclay Bright, President, who is supported by small, local — and distributed — team. Barclay has spent the last 25 years, in various roles, as an advisor to company owners. Prior to Watertown, he served as Sr. M&A Advisor for The Independence Group, a California-based M&A firm.
A native of Virginia, Barclay is a graduate of both The College of William & Mary (B.A.) and the University of Virginia—Darden (M.B.A.).
